Pre-Fabricated Worlds

Pre-Fabricated Worlds

In 1996, the director the C3 Cultural Communications Centre requested me to design the digital version of the exhibition space of the Centre so that – were technology to develop in that direction – the virtual exhibition could be made accessible and be arranged on the Internet. Having fulfilled the request, I made my own first virtual exhibition, with the title C3*.SR. Then I wanted to make an installation of one of the frames of this animation, but the question arose, was it worth it? Considering the fact that it is mostly the documentations of installations that remain afterwards, I decided against attempting to realize the idea, since I had all the documentation at my disposal even before preparation. With such an approach, the realization seemed to be of no avail.
In 1997, Dániel Erdély, the organizer of Internet Galaxy 97, asked me to make an animation of the renaissance hall of the Museum of Fine Arts and to present it at the programme called Internet Galaxy 97 organized at the Museum. To fulfil the request I prepared my animation and photo series entitled “Virtual Attendant of Gallery”.
In 1998, Miklós Erdély’s exhibition was organized at the Gallery of Arts. I placed the reconstructions of the installations to be exhibited in the Virtual Gallery of Art constructed on a computer; thus I helped the arrangement of the exhibition a great deal, because I had previously built up all installations in virtual space, finding the ideal positions of the works, as well.
